The April 2014 housing market statistics are in and it appears to be good news for many homeowners who have struggled with declining market values over the past several years.
Washington County MD -The number of homes sold in April 2014 jumped 23.15% over the same month in 2013 with 133 homes sold. The average sale price decreased by 6.55% to $178,987 county wide. The average days a home was on market prior to going under contract decreased by 3.64% to 106-days. Sellers saw an increase of 0.27% in the average list price to sale price ratio with sellers getting 90.08% of their asking price.
Frederick County MD -The number of homes sold in April 2014 jumped 6.56% over the same month in 2013 with 260 homes sold. The average sale price decreased by 5.10% to $286,080 county wide. The average days a home was on market prior to going under contract decreased by 20% to 56-days. Sellers saw an decrease of 0.33% in the average list price to sale price ratio with sellers getting 96.6% of their asking price.
Franklin County PA -The number of homes sold in April 2014 dropped 3.20% over the same month in 2013 with 121 homes sold. The average sale price decreased by 0.90% to $158,973 county wide. The average days a home was on market prior to going under contract decreased by 6.38% to 132-days. Sellers saw an increase of 1.88% in the average list price to sale price ratio with sellers getting 91.9% of their asking price.
